Dave Erfle – Junior Mining Bull Market Trends: Financings, Earnings Season, and Gold & Silver Momentum
Dave Erfle, Founder and Editor of Junior Miner Junky, joins me to share insights on the accelerating momentum in the precious metals sector.
In this discussion we cover:
- Financing trends: A surge in capital flowing into PEA‑stage juniors, with major strategic partners taking large stakes in recent $30M+ financings.
- Sector strength: Miners and juniors showing relative strength as gold consolidates near $3,300 and silver breaks out, with the gold:silver ratio trending lower.
- Earnings season outlook: Why companies like Newmont could deliver significantly higher cash flow with gold ~$400/oz above Q1 levels.
- Copper market dynamics: Tariff-driven moves, record backwardation between U.S. and LME markets, and the potential for explorers to catch renewed investor interest.
Dave also shares portfolio management insights, noting when he takes profits on big winners and where he’s looking for new opportunities – particularly in copper juniors.
Watch for:
- Signs of a sustainable bull market as financings are bought, not sold.
- A rotation of capital further down the food chain to riskier juniors.
- Key support levels: gold $3,300/$3,200 and silver $37.50, setting up for potential runs toward $4,000 gold and $50 silver later this year.

The last time I checked you were on vacation; Cory needs to get the Whip Out! LOL! DT 😉🤣😜
Whip Him, Whip Him Good! DT😉😁😀
Maybe he is hiking at a mine site… !
Hi Dan, do you remember how Bob Barker used to say, “get your pet spayed or neutered”, meanwhile he’s down at the beach looking at all “The Tops and Bottoms”. Thats some mine site. LOL! DT
Haha! You guys make me laugh. This vacation was mining my pockets “at depth and along strike…” 😉
The family vacation was great though, and I just got back in late last night, and was catching up today on a week of missed market moves and hundreds of emails… Yikes!
I’ve got some good interviews set up for next week though, so stay tuned…
Yes DT…. I did make it to a few beaches along the journey!
Cheers!
Unloaded half of my AG yesterday – I don’t like the bearish engulfing on weekly for Silver miners. They maybe done for the summer but then who knows.

NatGas : Golden C Possible!
I sure didn’t know that I was going to buy Kootenay today but that’s what happened after it went through a trapdoor. I got filled at 1.09, 1.08 and 1.07 (about 31% off of Monday’s high).
I threw some $ at it too! Could not believe that… also covered my shorts for a loss but bought IPT and SCZ at the end of the day for cheap! Hopefully a no-brainer.
It seems IPT’s weakness appeared suddenly after KTN fell sharply. Fear is contagious.
I think late KTN holders were already upset and getting more nervous as the end of the week approached. Even today’s high was 13% off of Monday’s high.
KOOYF got crushed on the close today. I averaged in right before the drop, but will keep adding all the way down.
Yesterday, it looked like silver was going to finish the week above important resistance but today it was stopped from doing so.

I bought some GLL yesterday – looks like GOLD is going to correct from here.
I sure don’t like shorting anything in a bull market but if I were going to I’d do it in the vicinity of the high (almost 3 months ago), timewise if not pricewise. Having said that, gold looks like it could take off to the upside, imo.

Silver was disappointing today considering yesterday’s performance but it still looks more bullish than bearish to me.

Hey Ex, have you heard of HydroGraph clean power, HG on the CSE Exchange. I know you are busy, but you are always busy, don’t interrupt me can’t you see I’m Busy! LOL! DT
DT. Jay Taylor/ Bob Moriarty did a interview with theHG ceo a week or 2 ago.. interesting company.. a great close today
Hi Ann, I have a feeling that they are going to come out with a news release where they have signed a substantial contract. Have you noticed the volume on HG over the last seven trading days. Volume is a big indicator for me. This is I believe why? As always DYODD! If Jay Taylor is in so probably is Chen Lin. DT
HydroGraph to Showcase Fractal Graphene (TM) at Advanced Materials Show in Birmingham, UK. This was 10 days ago. DT
HG is building a plant in Texas to purify graphene they will also be seeking a listing on The Nasdaq in 2026. DT
Thanks DT
MAXX.CN. Natural Hydrogen
Jon Hulstein/Daniel Cook (BMR)
have been doing some extensive research regarding their massive Saskatchewan land package
Worth looking into
Cheers
Hi Ann, I will check it out I like miners that trade on the CSE and Hydrogen is an interesting commodity. DT
I picked up Summa Silver late today. I was going to add to Capitan but I could get about twice as many shares with going for Summa.
SLV:GDX is at resistance but still looks like it’s going higher (silver will continue to outperform the big gold miners)…

A stock I have a pretty big position in is WWR. It’s taken off (thanks to the Donald) and I added today.
Technically, it appears like a lot of these PM stocks may be under some pressure for awhile. It’ll be a good time to add a small amount of shares again. I believe as I’ve said in the past that 2026 could be the year we have a significant move up for these stocks.
GLD:SPY has tested and held above the 30 week MA for the last 3 weeks.
